Las Vegas in February is one of the year's best windows to visit. Temperatures are comfortable rather than extreme, crowds are lower than the spring and summer peaks, and the city's full entertainment and dining infrastructure is entirely operational. Valentine's weekend is the one exception: Las Vegas is one of the world's most popular Valentine's Day destinations, and both the 13th and 14th see hotel prices spike significantly on the Strip. Book early or adjust your dates slightly.

Weather

February averages 7C at night to 17C in the afternoon. This is genuinely pleasant. Days are bright and sunny almost without exception. A light jacket or layer for evenings and nights is needed; the desert temperature drop after dark is real. You will not need a heavy coat. Pool weather is not here yet, but walking the Strip and outdoor venues are perfectly comfortable.

Crowds and Prices

Lower than peak season, but not empty. February sits in the year's quieter period, which in Las Vegas terms means the big shows have good availability and restaurant reservations are easier. Valentine's weekend is the exception: the 13th and 14th see the Strip at full capacity, with hotel rates often doubling. If Valentine's is not the point of your visit, aim for the first week of February.

What's On

The city's entertainment calendar runs year-round. Major residencies, sporting events at the T-Mobile Arena, and the full range of casino spectacle are all available. Valentine's Day sees special event menus, champagne packages, and shows across the major casinos. The Super Bowl, which falls in early February, is observed with significant fanfare across every sportsbook on the Strip.

One Thing to Watch

Nevada is a desert and February nights are cold by tourist standards, particularly if you are arriving from warm weather expectations. The gap between afternoon warmth and late-night cold on the Strip catches many visitors unprepared. A jacket for evening walks between casinos is practical, not optional.
