Dubrovnik in November is a genuinely peaceful version of one of Europe's most overrun destinations. The Old Town, which can feel suffocating in summer, breathes again. Prices drop dramatically. But this comes with a real caveat: significant parts of the tourist infrastructure close for the season, and you need to plan around that.

Weather

Temperatures sit between 11°C and 16°C, making it mild by Northern European standards. November does bring rain, sometimes heavy, and occasional strong bora winds from the northeast. The Adriatic looks dramatic rather than inviting. The Old Town walls are usually open but the walk is more exposed in wind and rain than in summer. Pack a proper waterproof layer.

Crowds and Prices

Dramatically fewer people. The cruise ship crowds that overwhelm the Stradun in peak season are gone. Hotels inside and just outside the Old Town drop to a fraction of their summer prices. This is genuinely one of the best windows to see Dubrovnik as a city rather than a theme park.

What's On

There's no specific November event calendar of note. The city functions but at a slower pace. Some local restaurants open for weekends only; others close entirely until spring. The cable car to Mount Srd typically continues to run in November but check operating hours in advance, as they reduce. The city walls walk is still one of the finest urban experiences in Europe, even in low light.

One Thing to Watch

This is the most important thing to check before booking: a meaningful number of restaurants, bars, boat tour operators, and even some hotels close for November and don't reopen until March or April. Before you commit to specific dining spots or activities you've seen recommended online, verify they're open in November. Arriving to find your top three restaurant choices shuttered is avoidable with a quick check.
