Miami in November is the city at close to its best. The summer humidity and hurricane season are behind it, the weather has settled into warm, clear conditions, and the high-energy winter season that runs through to spring is just getting started. If you've been putting off Miami, November is an excellent time to stop putting it off.
Weather
Daytime temperatures sit around 24°C to 27°C, with low humidity and plenty of sunshine. Evenings are warm, around 18°C to 20°C. The Atlantic water is still comfortable for swimming. Rain is possible in short afternoon showers early in the month but November is the clear end of the wet season. This is the weather you imagine when you imagine Miami, and it actually delivers.
Crowds and Prices
November sits at the start of Miami's peak season, which runs through winter and spring. Prices are higher than the summer shoulder months but haven't reached the December and January peaks yet. South Beach and Brickell hotels are bookable at reasonable rates in early November, with prices escalating through the month as the winter season ramps up.
What's On
Art Basel Miami Beach takes place in early December, but the wider art week ecosystem, including satellite fairs and gallery events, starts firing in the final days of November. Art Miami and NADA Art Fair often open in late November, drawing the international art world to Wynwood and Miami Beach.
The Miami International Boat Show is a February fixture, but November sees other sporting events and the start of the NBA season for the Miami Heat at Kaseya Center. Thanksgiving falls in November, and Miami Beach is a popular US domestic travel destination over the holiday weekend.
One Thing to Watch
If your trip falls near Art Basel week (early December) and you're browsing late November hotel rates, be aware that late November accommodation can look reasonable but transition quickly to Art Basel pricing for December arrival dates. Book clearly within your intended November dates to avoid the spillover premium.
