Amsterdam in June: What to Expect

June is one of the better months to visit Amsterdam. The weather turns reliably warm, the canal-side terraces fill up, and the city is lively without the August crush. If you want good weather and manageable crowds, June is your window.

Temperatures sit between 14°C and 22°C through June, with the second half of the month often warmer. Rain is possible at any point, Amsterdam being Amsterdam, so a light waterproof is worth packing. Days are long, with light until well past 10pm, which gives you serious sightseeing hours. Pack layers for evenings near the water.

Crowds and Prices

Tourist numbers climb steadily through June, but school holidays in the Netherlands and UK don't fully kick in until mid-July.
