Geneva in summer is genuinely attractive. The Heat/Weather Strategy

Geneva sits at the tip of Lake Geneva with mountains on multiple sides. The lake moderates the temperature somewhat, keeping it warmer in shoulder seasons and cooler in peak heat. In July and August, warm sunny days are the norm but Alpine thunderstorms roll in from the mountains in the late afternoon with considerable speed. These are full storms: lightning, heavy rain, and sharp temperature drops. They usually pass within an hour.

City-Specific Must-Haves
