Liverpool in November is one of those cities that doesn't really do low season in the cultural sense. The music scene, the football, and the general refusal to be beaten by the weather mean the city operates at full intensity regardless of the month. November is just November with cheaper hotels.

Weather

Expect temperatures between 5°C and 10°C, with frequent rain and wind off the Mersey. Liverpool's weather in November is reliably unreliable. Pack warm layers and a waterproof jacket. The Albert Dock and the waterfront are exposed to the wind but worth the walk between showers. The Royal Albert Dock itself provides indoor shelter with its cluster of museums and bars.

Crowds and Prices

Low tourist season. Hotels in the city centre and around the Baltic Triangle are good value. The Beatles Story, the Tate Liverpool, and the Museum of Liverpool are all less crowded than during the summer and the Mathew Street Festival season. If you're coming for football at Anfield or Goodison, match weekends are their own category: check fixture dates as these drive hotel demand.

What's On

Liverpool's music scene runs every night of the year. Mathew Street, the Cavern Quarter, and venues like the O2 Academy Liverpool maintain full programming through November.Guy Fawkes Night on November 5 is celebrated with fireworks at venues around the city. The Christmas lights on Church Street and in Liverpool ONE typically switch on in mid-November.

One Thing to Watch

Liverpool Football Club home games at Anfield drive hotel prices up dramatically on match weekends, sometimes doubling or tripling normal rates. Check the Premier League fixture list for your travel dates before you book accommodation, and either factor in the premium or plan your visit around a non-match weekend.
